Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Human and Environment Forum of Korea (HEF).
(VACNE - On 10/01/2013 Dr. Nguyễn Ngọc Sinh, President of VACNE and Mr. Jae Kon Shim, President of HEF has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between VACNE and HEF.
The purpose of this MOU is to enhance mutually beneficial cooperative working relationship between VACNE and HEF, hereinafter jointly referred to as the “Parties”.
HEF is a non-governmental association registered to the Ministry of Environment with the activities in policy development for sustainable society, establishment of environment knowledge networks and forum, providing consultative researches on the area of environment management, and promoting international cooperation for the improvement of human and environmental quality.
VACNE is a non-governmental association established in 1988 according to the decision No.299/CT of 23/11/1988 by the Prime Minister wit the main activities of providing consultancy and organizing public hearing processes in the field of of nature and environment protection, participating in research on sustainable development, and training and education on environment protection.
Objectives of the MOU is intending to promote cooperation between the Parties, information and knowledge sharing, technical capacity building, collaboration of projects of mutual interest, and joint consultations with industry, academia, and other stakeholder group.
Cooperative activities under this MOU are exchange of personnel, exchange of technical information, promotion of forum and promotion of join research.
The effective period of the MOU shall be 3 years and will be renewed automatically for future period of not terminated by either Party.
