Floating village tries eco-tourism


The floating Vung Viêng fishing village in Hạ Long Bay, northeastern Quảng Ninh Province usually hosts about 15,000 visitors each month. During peak periods the number of visitors soars to 21,000.

Authorities claim central region coastal waters safe


The Deputy Director of General Department of Environment Hoang Van Thuc has announced that waters off four central regions is now apparently safe for tourists.

UNHRC passes climate change resolution co-created by Vietnam


The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) carried out final discussions of its 35th session in Geneva, Switzerland, on June 22-23, adopting 36 resolutions and a presidential statement, including a draft resolution on climate change and human rights co-created by Vietnam.
