23 August 2010 | 07:48:00 AM

Vietnams Halong Bay jumped to second place in the rankings of nominees with the largest number of international votes in the past four weeks for the world’s contest of the seven new natural wonders.

Ha Long Bay
This result was shown on the website www.new7wonders.com on August 16th.
The first rank belongs to the Dead Sea (Israel, Jordan and Palestine). The following places are held by Komodo Park (Indonesia), Iguazu Falls (Argentina and Brazil), and the Amazon (South America).

The voting for Halong Bay as the world’s seven new natural wonders has recently been conducted in some countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea, France and Mexico and this has shown good results.
