This is a traditional product, a book that the Association registered with the National Political Publishing House – Truth Publishing in 2026, and it is also an activity to celebrate the International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction (October 13). The release of this publication to readers will be very practical for Vietnamese social life and very meaningful in the context of natural disasters occurring more frequently and increasingly extreme around the world.

After hearing the President of the Association's preliminary report on: the draft structure of the book (chapters, sections), the initial progress of the authors' groups, and the assignment of writing tasks, everyone was excited and enthusiastically contributed very practical ideas, with a high sense of responsibility.

Besides exchanging opinions and discussions related to new and specialized concepts, the participants of the seminar all agreed on the book's title, replacing the old title “Disaster Prevention, Mitigation, and Control” to emphasize the book's focus on “Disasters.” Everyone agreed to propose Professor Dr. Nguyen Duc Ngu as the chief editor of this important book; at the same time, staff from the Association's office will be assigned to provide maximum support in terms of technical aspects, formatting, and editing administrative place names according to the new designations. The plan is to basically complete this book to submit it to the publisher at the beginning of next year.
