Danang’s gold coast

15 April 2011 | 10:39:00 AM

Over a decade ago it was a little-known port town with dated-wartime associations, but now Danang has a reputation as the ultimate destination for beachside luxury living in Vietnam

Long before the recent real estate explosion, the coastal city of Danang in Central Vietnam was quietly turning the heads of investors. The city’s potential for luxury tourism was obvious. But it wasn’t until just over a decade ago, that the Furama Resort became the first luxurious coastal resort development in Central Vietnam. The rest is history.
Today, a string of resort projects are now up and running along the coast, luring high-end tourists from all over the world. This boom in resort real estate helped create an opportunity for Danang to be more than simply a tourist hotspot – developers are now capitalising on the port city’s reputation as a sublime, beach holiday destination to create fancy holiday home-villa and condominium projects such as Furama Villas.
Situated on 11 hectares along the coastal road from Son Tra Peninsula to Hoi An, Furama Villas basks in its highly sought-after beachside location, which is closer to downtown Danang than any other resort in the area. This prime position is what sets Furama Villas apart.
Furama Villas is also at the crossroads of UNESCO recognised world heritage sites, including the Imperial City of Hue, the Old Town of Hoi An, and the former spiritual capital of Cham civilisation, My Son Temple Complex. The villa complex comes replete with private swimming pools, a private beach and stare-of-the-art luxury facilities.
Highly reputable consultant companies have been enlisted to ensure the project’s success. Archipel (France) oversaw architectural planning and design, Smec (Australia) supervised technical and interior design, LAB (Thailand) managed landscape design by LAB (Thailand) while Delta (USA) took care of the construction.
Furama Villas has been carefully planned to ensure a harmonious relationship between the architectural design and the idyllic surrounding landscape. Only high-quality natural stone or wood materials were used, while villas are surrounded by trees and meadows and feature either lake views or sea views. Furama Villas exudes a tropical theme with its multi-layered plants, canals, waterfalls, as well as public and private swimming pools.
Each of the villas is an intimate entity, separated by natural fences created with plants and rocks. Windows and large glass panels have been used as a partition between the interior and the exterior of the villas so residents and guests feel close to nature.
A clear advantage of investing in Furama Villas is that Furama Danang has such a highly esteemed international reputation as one of the region’s finest resorts operating for more than 10 years. Furama Villas represents an incredible offer for investors. Investors can purchase a villa with freeholds at a competitive price or participate in a programme for re-leasing, which will be managed and administrated by Furama Resort.
