Cuu Thac Tu Son, the wonder of Hoa Binh

29 May 2012 | 09:22:00 AM

At 60 km from Hanoi, Kim Boi district, Hoa Binh province is known not only for its thermal springs of Kim Boi but for Cuu Thac Tu Son, site of the nine waterfalls, which attracts lots of tourists . Each waterfall has its legend, recounting the mysterious stories of boys and girls of the Muong ethnic.

The little Eden Cuu Thac Tu Son is probably one of the most beautiful places to embody the culture of this ethnic group.

First stop, the first waterfall named Tam Tien, swimming of the fairies. Legend has it that they chose this magical place for their retreat. In fact, the fall evokes the hair of one of these graceful divinities. A favorite flace of the fairies is certainly the choice of many tourists today.

A kilometer away, is Trai Chieu Quan Lang where water flows slowly, like a delicately knotted braid. And that's another story that is told: In the past, this was where a mandarin secretly visited his lover. Romanticism remained. It is still the meeting place of lovers.

The next waterfall is CO, is located at 1000 m altitude. Grandiose, it rises above the lake Lac Long Quan.

A few hundred yards away, visitors can see the waterfall Bac in 1300 m above sea level. Legend has it that a pregnant woman must cross nine mountains in search of the water which her village desperately needs.

Other wonders are still hiding ... One could describe such as the fall Duôi, the stream or lake Ngân Kim Thien Nga. But the best is yet to come in, to see for yourself the serenity of the place, take a breath of fresh air and admire the artistic and gastronomic Muong.
