Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment of Ninh Binh Province organizes Congress
Recently, Association for Nature and Environment of Ninh Binh Province (Ninh Binh ACNE) was successful to organize The 2nd Congress, Term of 2008-2013.
In 2008 Ninh Binh ACNE admitted Tam Diep Factory of Cement and Building Materials as a new member. Now Ninh Binh ACNE already has 3,791 members, including 2 branches and 9 collective memberships.
Concerning propaganda and improvement of awareness: Co-ordinate with Department of Natural Resources and Environment and instruct communities, production businesses located in suburban districts, cities, townships to organize high tides of propaganda for environmental protection on the occasions of the World Wetland Day, National week for Clean water and Environmental Sanitation, World Environment Day ... These activities attract over 3.500 turns of participation by youth members, students and people. Print out and publish 2,500 leaflets about use of clean water and environmental sanitation. Purchase and publish 200 copies of “Guidance for communities to participate in building a model of environmental protection” in various districts, cities and townships.
Co-ordinate with agencies to successfully organize 04 training courses and enhance the awareness of environmental protection, management of solid and harmful waste …, for example, the training course “To enhance the awareness of environmental protection for the alley of Day River and Hoang Long River” intended for 70 learners including specialists from departments of natural resources and environment as well as officials in charge of production units and businesses that release waste to Day River; giving training course for 120 cadres to enhance their knowledge of environmental protection in communities, including those from the people’s committee of An Khanh commune, social and political organizations, schools; training course for 50 turns of people to enhance their knowledge on management of solid waste in their geographical location,... Organize a thematic conference on environmental protection for making refined bricks. Co-ordinate with the Central Committee of Propaganda and Education to make a preliminary summing-up of a 5-year implementation of Decision No. 41-NQ/TW issued on Nov. 15, 2004 by the Politburo.
Concerning consultancy, assessment and social opponent critics: 87 turns of cadres, official members in ministerial and provincial councils take part in assessment of the environmental impacts, supplement 26 investment projects in the province, offer suggestions on environmental protection for 33 investment projects, of which 22 projects must be reported on their environmental impacts, 09 projects must be set up their commitment on environmental protection, and 02 projects must be confirmed clearly about their capacity according to the laws and regulations of environmental protection.
Hundreds of members have actively participated in consultancy, technological support and offered solutions of environmental protection for businesses and investment projects... Especially in this year the Association has become an official member in the Supervision Team of Ninh Binh province to oversee the implementation of environmental protection at Cement Factory of VINAKANSAI, Thermo-electricity Company of Ninh Binh, Phosphate Joint Stock Company of Ninh Binh, ELMACO Tapioca Starch of Ninh Binh.
The Association constantly improve their ability, exchange experience and actively cooperate with VACNE, Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Ninh Binh, step up coordination with other partners in Thanh Hoa, Cao Bang, Hai Duong,... and promote activities of environmental protection in the field of business and production...
