VACNE conducting cooperation with SIWI

On 09/07/2012, at the VACNE office was held meeting on cooperation between VACNE and the Swedish International Water Institute (SIWI).

 
Swedish expert group led by Dr. Mart Eriksson had discussed with the Vietnam expert group led by Assoc. Le Bac Huynh and Assoc. Dr. Phung Chi Sy  for the contents of cooperation between two organizations. Both sides also agree on a plan to study in the local practice in preparation for deployment tasks.
 
 

 
Reportedly, leaders of Ha Nam and Vinh Long provinces have agreed with the VACNE  proposal to choose these places for case studies. The Departments of Agriculture and Rural Development has been tasked to coordinate with the expert team to conduct the survey, to find out the status of management and water use in  impacts of climate change at the provincial , district, community level and production facilities.

The project of the VACNE  and SIWI  will ultimately help to build an action plan to respond to climate change at the grassroots and the community.

Along reception with VACNE President Nguyen Ngoc Sinh there also MSc. Nguyen Thu Hue, Head of Community Development Committee, Assoc. Dr. Nguyen Van Viet, member of Climate Change Committee, members of two  Working Groups and the experts of  the VACNE Office.

ADB finances climate resilience infrastructure...
