VACNE and Foreign Volunteers

Recently after three Canadian volunteers, there are three other foreign volunteers working for VACNE.

 
 
This morning, VACNE Office became busier. A meeting was held to say goodbye to Nick Logler, an American intern who worked with the Center for Marinelife Conservation and Community Development (MCD, one of VACNE’s members) over the last seven weeks, and at the same time, to welcome two new French volunteers, Laetitia and Lorna, who are going to work with VACNE for the next 5 weeks. Vu Thi Be Ngoan, a volunteer student from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (HUST), also participated in the meeting. She has helped VACNE a lot over the last time.


 
Laetitia is going to work for VACNE with the aim to upgrade English website and participate in VACNE’s nationwide activities from Dien Bien to Hue, Da Lat and Dong Nai, etc. Meanwhile, Lorna will cooperate with Vietnam Environmental Economic Association, a member of VACNE, as Nick served in MCD. International volunteers introduced themselves to each other. Nick was so impressed with Vietnam and his work in MCD and VACNE as well. MCD is also pleased with what Nick did. In the next few days, he intends to visit some interesting places in Vietnam with his girlfriend. Laetitia and Lorna also expressed that they hope to contribute to the development of VACNE and have the opportunity to go sightseeing over Vietnam. Thanks to these activities, VACNE is strengthening more and more in order to help the world understanding much more about Vietnam.
