UNEP’s Expert Delegation had a working visit to VACNE on cleaner production

On the request of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE), VACNE has received and worked with UNEP’s expert delegation on the issue of cleaner production.
At the VACNE Office, VACNE President Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, the Secretary General Pham Binh Quyen, and Director of the Vietnam Clean Production Center (VNCPC) Prof. Tran Van Nhan warmly received the guest delegation including Head of Delegation Dr. Stefamos Fotiou, Dr. Th.Wiedmann, and Mr. P.Walker.
Both sides sincerely exchanged information on activities related to cleaner production in which Vietnam has been participating since 1999. The Delegation showed a deep interest in VACNE’s activities in this field. The guest experts highly appreciated VACNE’s and VNCPC’s performance in raising community awareness, in participating in policy development, and in researching community models on cleaner production. Especially, VACNE’s effort in organization of International Exhibition-Fairs on Environmental Technology since 2006 with participation of the Korea Environment Association and Asia Productivity Organization (APO) drew a great attention of all experts.
