Each year during the 12th lunar month, mountains throughout Mu Cang Chai district in the northern mountainous province of Yen Bai are fully coated with To Day flowers.
The blooming season of To Day flowers adds to the alluring appearance of the scenery of villages in Mu Cang Chai district, whilst also contributing to attracting more visitors to the locality.

To Day flowers each have five petals in a bright pink colour.
The flowers can only be found growing at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level.
Blooming To Day flower trees ooze charm alongside the roads on local mountains.
The peach flower, known locally as To Day, gives a blazing pink appearance to the entire tree.
Flowers can mainly be found in La Pan Tan commune. The wild flowers even bloom across high peaks in the communes of Nam Khat, Pung Luong, and De Xu Phinh.
Local H’Mong ethnic people consider the To Day flowers to be a sign of spring.
