The Vice President of VACNE gifted the State President of Vietnam the Photobook about Vietnam Heritage Trees

(VACNE) - On the occasion of the New Year 2016, the State President Truong Tan Sang has sent representatives to the family of Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, Vice President of VACNE for greeting them Happy New Year.

Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh on behalf of the family , as well as Vietnam scientists expressed sincere thanks to the State President Truong Tan Sang, especially as he personally visited his family and offered gifts and New Year greetings in the early Spring of 2014; the office of the State President has directly awarded a bouquet to the Vice State President Nguyen Thi Doan, to congratulate him during the events of honouring Vietnam Heritage Trees organized by VACNE.

Following the official launch of the Photobook about Vietnam Heritage Trees, on behalf of VACNE, Professor Dang Huy Huynh gifted the valuable books to the State President.

This is the result of hard work in the past 5 years by scientists, journalists, photographers and collaborators of VACNE. In the book there are more than 200 coloured photographs reflecting on the festival and the activities of the communities under the shadow of the Vietnam Heritage Trees. The book devotes several pages to reflect the opinion of communities about the events of Vietnam Heritage Trees; the care and disease prevention and treatment of plants; the introduction of the registration form, samples of gravestone of Vietnam Heritage Trees, etc…

Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, Deputy Director General, on behalf of the Office of the State President expressed gratitude and New Year congratulations from the State President to Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, environmental activists, the scientists of VACNE and Viet Nam.
