UN’s officials said promoting the agenda in sustainable tourism will help the sector improve its capacity worldwide, contribute to higher income for people, economic growth, job creation, poverty reduction, society development. It would also help the Government confront with environmental challenges more effectively.
Mr. Rifai added that mobilization and investment in tourism will provide small and medium-sized enterprises with a better access to financial and monetary tools
Public policies that can finance tourism will create favorable conditions to attract private investment in green tourism, meet customers’ changing demands for sustainable tourism, increase competiveness, reduce costs for tourism businesses dramatically and develop sustainable tourism in the globe.
Strategies and plans to develop new tourism destinations will be the first step to green global tourism, to promote the effectiveness of using natural resources and to minimize environment degradation
According to a research made by UN WTO, tourism has been proven as one of the sectors that helps stimulate economic growth. /.
