Korea find out about the community assessment of the amended Environment Protection Law

(VACNE) - Recently, at the VACNE office, Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, VACNE President welcomed and worked with Dr. Sc. Jae - Kyong Chun, director of the Research Center under Korea Research Institute of Law.

 
 Dr. Sc. Jae - Kyong Chun interested in the evaluation of the community on the draft of amended  Environmental Protection Law 2005 which  according to him is quite complete, even Vietnam Law has many advantages compared to the Korean Environmental Law. VACNE President  concurred with the assessment of Dr. Sc. Chun, but also pointed out that many of the shortcomings mentioned by VACNE members.

Discussion of Dr. Sc.Chun's comments surrounding issues of still modest results and not high efficiency of the implementation of Law on Environmental Protection in Vietnam, VACNE Prisident raised 3 of the many reasons: the incompetence and not uniform and some of the Environment Protection and Law related Laws; organizational systems and quality management staff did not meet environmental requirements and practices; community awareness about the environment is not high. Dr Sc. Chun appreciated the VACNE president's analysis and said he will  studied in depth the issues raised.
 
Ending the meeting, VACNE President awarded Dr. Sc. Chun  a number of books such as environmental security (Vietnamese), TAI research results in South Asia (English).
