Authorities in Hung Yen Province are seeking public feedback on a revised master plan that includes proposals for several large scale projects, among them a coastal tourism complex in Dong Chau covering more than 800 hectares.
The Hung Yen People’s Committee is collecting opinions on adjustments to the provincial plan for the 2021 to 2030 period, with a vision to 2050. The revised draft outlines dozens of major projects in trade, services and tourism, ranging from several hundred to more than 1,000 hectares.
According to the draft, the largest project is the Thuy Truong eco tourism area, covering 1,500 hectares in Dong Thuy Anh Commune. This is followed by the Con Den coastal eco resort, planned over 1,150 hectares, a 15 hectare exhibition and fair centre in Thai Binh Ward, Pho Hien, and the Dong Chau coastal tourism zone spanning 837 hectares.
The Dong Chau coastal tourism project, planned in Dong Chau Commune, is designed to become a modern urban and seaside tourism area, offering resort facilities, commercial services and community spaces. The project also aims to tap the area’s coastal potential and boost the province’s tourism and service economy.
In terms of technical infrastructure, the draft plan also proposes studying investment in an international airport in Dong Chau Commune after 2030, in line with the national master plan for airport and aviation system development.
