Under the VND65-billion (USD2.82 million) project, VND58 billion will be spent on building six resettlement areas for the households, while the remainder will be used for directly supporting them.
Muong Lat District has been urged to quickly implement the project to ensure the safety for the local households.
Muong Lat District in Thanh Hoa Province was severely hit last August by severe floods. Hundreds of houses were buried, and many villages nearly destroyed.
