21 March 2010 | 08:18:00 PM

Seoul will cooperate with Hanoi to upgrade the polluted To Lich River, ensuring the Vietnamese capital city’s urban scenery for its 1,000 th founding anniversary.

The cooperation was reached during a working session between Vice Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee Vu Hong Khanh and Seoul representatives in Hanoi on March 16.

The upgrading will include ensuring water drainage during the rainy season, improving the water environment and beautifying the landscape on the river and its surrounding areas.
