Green tourism development in Khanh Hoa

Khanh Hoa Provincial People’s Committee has just developed a plan on green and sustainable tourism development in the city till 2030.

With this plan, the Provincial People's Committee sets a target that by 2030, 80% of tourist attractions and tourism businesses will be labeled green; 80% of tourism businesses generating wastewater of 10m3/day or more will have wastewater treatment facilities meeting environmental technical standards; 80% of tourism businesses will commit to not using disposable plastic products; 95% of tourism businesses will invest in and use renewable energy; 4 tourím routes will get connected with green tourist destinations throughout the province; and 4 green tourism products will be put into operation at each tourist destination.

The plan for developing green and sustainable tourism to 2030 is to contribute to sustainable tourism development, protect the environment, preserve and promote the values ​​of culture, history, community culture, and natural landscapes; develop green tourism products to exploit new, diverse, attractive tourist destinations, mobilizing the participation of State management agencies, the tourism business community, and attracting investment resources for green tourism development.
