Discussion on Cooperation Between VACNE (Vietnam) and KEITI (South Korea)

On November 26, 2011, in Hanoi, the President of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh welcomed representatives of the Korea Institute for Technology and Industry (KEITI) Mr. Samuel Sangseek Rhee and of Korea - Vietnam Center for Environmental Industrial Cooperation Mr. Le Dang Hoan and discussed with them on cooperation in fields that both countries are interested in.
At the meeting, both sides introduced to each other on their functions and strong points in the field of environmental protection including recent activities that have contributed to cooperation between enterprises of both countries in promoting production with regard to environmental protection. The activities include organization of a series of workshops on environmental impact assessment, exchange of experts, and Vietnam - Korea exhibitions on environmental technologies and facilities.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh said: VACNE is particularly interested in technologies related to environmental protection for enterprises and has carried out some researches, workshops, and exhibitions related to this topic. After the workshop “Granting credit terms to enterprises applying cleaner production” held in Hanoi on November 3, 2011, VACNE is going to publish a document titled “Green Sustainable Trade Names” in Vietnamese in the end of this year and to organize Exhibition – Fair on energy saving and environment protection in the beginning of next year.
The President of VACNE not only agreed to participate in the Vietnam - Korea Workshop - Forum in coming November 21 and 22, 2011 but also assured that VACNE will assign and engage a great deal of its enterprises with appropriate ability to take part in this event.
The representative of KEITI expressed his gratitude to a warm welcoming of VACNE's leaders and his desire to promote long-term and practical cooperation with VACNE.
