The paper present the result of analysis of dioxins/furans discharge from a incinerator of STEPRO using negative pressure techonology installed at Haiduong Green Environment Company combusting pesticides with 3,72% of chloride compounds. The dioxins/furans concentration is lower than European and Vietnamese standards 4 times and 100 times, respectively. The dioxins/furans concentration has good relationship to CO and other factors such as temperature, combustion technology and etc.
Instead of controlling dioxins/furans for the high cost of sampling and analysis we could assess them by other parameters such as combustion technology, temperature, CO concentration... to evaluate dioxins/furans emission of an incinerator that is operating.
