04 July 2025 | 07:28:00 AM

Dalat, the charming highland resort area in Vietnam’s Lam Dong Province, has been ranked fourth on Agoda’s list of Top 9 Most Affordable Summer Getaways in Asia.

Agoda highlights Dalat’s attractive average room rate of VND1,180,000 per night, making it an appealing choice for budget-conscious travelers. Known for its refreshing climate, lush pine forests, and elegant French colonial architecture, the resort area offers a unique blend of nature, culture, and history that draws both domestic and international visitors.

The platform also notes that Dalat is an ideal destination for summer, offering outdoor activities such as hiking, cycling, and exploring vibrant flower gardens. Its rich local cuisine and laid-back ambiance contribute to an unforgettable holiday experience.

Dalat’s inclusion in the top five most affordable destinations reflects Vietnam’s rising profile as a cost-effective yet enriching travel option, said Vu Ngoc Lam, Agoda Vietnam country director.

Topping the list is Surabaya (Indonesia), followed by Tirupati (India) and Hat Yai (Thailand) with average room rates of VND 972,000 and VND 1,025,000 per night, respectively.

Other destinations on the list include Iloilo (Philippines), Kuching (Malaysia), Nagoya (Japan), Kaohsiung (Taiwan/China), and Daejeon (Republic of Korea).
