The master plan has just been drawn by the Da Nang City Urban Planning Institute.

Under the master plan, the City will fill in 70 ha of the sea in the Da Nang bay to build a high-class tourist resort.

In the southern Son Tra Peninsula, the City will also fill in 50 ha of the sea to build an urban area.

The City also asked Quang Nam Province to join it in developing tourism, which makes a long tour from Da Nang to the ancient town of Hoi An.

The master plan also says that there will be four world-class golf courses around the City and a tertiary education area in Hoa Vang District by 2030.

According to estimates, the City will have a population of 2 million, an urban area of 22,500 ha and a peripheral area of 3,000 ha.

According to officials, after the display for opinions, the master plan will be submitted to the Prime Minister for approval in September 2012.
