Cuc Phuong National Park of Vietnam honored as Asia's Leading National Park 2021 by the World Travel Awards

This is the third continuous year that Cuc Phuong National Park has won the award of Asia's Leading National Park (2019, 2020 and 2021) by the World Travel Awards.

This winner continues to recognize the attractiveness of Vietnam's ecotourism in the regional and world tourism map. This oldest national park of Vietnam established in 1962, is situated between the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh and Thanh Hoa, about 120km southwest of Hanoi. Covering an area of over 22,000 hectares, Cuc Phuong National Park is home to over 2,200 plants and mosses, including many rare varieties of orchid, herbal, plant recorded in the Red Book of Vietnam; 122 reptile species, 66 fish species, nearly 2,000 insect species; 135 mammal species including many rare species such as Delacour's Langur, Clouded Leopard, Asian Black Bear; more than 300 species of resident birds. Cuc Phuong National Park is considered as a typical epitome of Southeast Asian rainforest.

Cuc Phuong National Park also boasts a system of beautiful caves with great archaeological value such as caves of Son Cung, Pho Ma Giang, etc. Some caves still preserve vestiges of prehistoric people, who lived about 7,500 years to 12,000 years ago.

Full of unique and diverse ecological features, Cuc Phuong National Park is an ideal destination for tourists who love nature and ecotourism. Coming here, they can join interesting activities such as trekking or cycling in the primary forest; admiring reptiles, amphibians, insects and the thousand-year-old parashorea tree; exploring the local ethnic community; visiting the Primate Rescue Center and the first Carnivore and Pangolin Education Center in Vietnam.
