About project replaced cutting of 6,700 street trees in Hanoi

(VACNE) - In the seminar about project of replaced cutting of 6,700 street trees in Hanoi, which took place on 23/3/2015 in Hanoi, Dr. Prof. Pham Ngoc Dang, Vice president of the Viet Nam Association For Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE), on behalf of VACNE , was delivered a speech. It is pleased to introduce this speech.

1. The recently massively cutting  street trees of Hanoi was  destructive actions

2. This mistake is caused by the  Hanoi People's Committee approved the project for replacement cutting street trees lacking scientific, society and culture basis, violated the laws of the State

3.
The destruction of the whole trees on Nguyễn Trãi, Thanh Xuân and Bưởi streets , Cổ Nhuế  areas serving high-speed rail project is also violation of the Environment Protection Law and Investment Law.

4.
The Hanoi leadership should apologize population  and immediately revised the project  of replaced  cutting of 6,700 street trees in Hanoi.
