The first Bombax ceiba of Gia Loc district to be recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree

(VACNE) – On 5/2/2023 the officials and people of Cat Hau village solemnly organized the Welcoming Ceremony of Vietnamese Heritage Tree for the first Bombax ceiba of Gia Loc district in accordance with the traditional festival of Quy Ma early spring.

Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, ASEAN Biodiversity Hero, and leaders of the VACNE came to congratulate and award the Certificate of Recognition of Vietnamese Heritage Trees to local representatives.

Attending and sharing joy with local people, there were leaders of Hong Hung Commune People's Committee, representatives of many businesses based in the area, many Buddhist monks and nuns and a large number of children of Cat Tien hometown living, studying and working in all parts of the country.

Opening ceremony by recognizing Vietnamese Heritage Trees as a unique cultural program performed by local amateur artists.
