Note of The Ministry of ClimateChange, Government of Pakistan

The Ministry of ClimateChange, Government of Pakistan intends to organize a side event on the followingtheme during the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (Rio+20), Rio deJaneiro, Brazil on 22 Jun 2012, 11:00 - 12:30 at Rio Centre (P3-F).
 
“Sustainingresilience – development in crisis” unique case of Pakistan sustaining itsdevelopment in face of:
 
-       Decadeof uninvited natural calamities (Earthquake, Cyclones, Floods)
-       Decadeof Conflict and engagement in “war on terror” - Economic dampeners
-       Forciblysuperimpose on self inflicted challenges (population, weak governance,corruption)
-       Basisof economic sustenance and strategy for future – resources and resilience.
