Phia Oắc and Phia Đén (Cao Bằng) are national natural treasures?

VACNE (26/9/2012)- This question will be answered satisfactorily by the research results, accurate assessment of natural resources, especially biological resources, particular specific ecosystems, in scientific conference on this topic, will take place at Cao Bang Town on 02/10/2012.

  


 

This workshop performed by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environtment (VACNE) and Union of Science and Technology of Cao Bang Province  to collect information on the geology and biodiversity; propose conservation measures and efficient exploitation of forest ecosystem characteristics Monday mountains daPhia to - Phia Oac, contributing to environmental protection andsustainable socio-economic development for Nguyen Binh District, Cao Bang, as well as our country's northeast .


According to the organizing committee, apart from general report entitled "Side to-Oac Side  national natural treasure" of Dr. Prof. Dang Huy Huynh and the collaborators of VACNE and Local Environment Center and Territorial Organization (VUSTA), there are more than 10 monographs, reports the results of relevant research, including the proposed expansion and upgrade more than 10,000 hectare conservation area into a national park; simultaneously associated biodiversity conservation with tourism development, ensuring sustainable livelihoods for local ethnic communities.


The day before the conference, a survey team composed of scientists from research institutions, the Universities will take the survey, field test  in the Phia Oắc and Phia Đén  /.
