Twenty seven people were killed and missing in the northern mountain provinces by the Typhoon Rammasun, including seven people in Ha Giang, six in Lai Chau, five in Lang Son, three in Son La, one in Dien Bien, one in Cao Bang, one in Bac Kan and three in Lao Cai, reported by the Central Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and National Committee for Search and Rescue on July 22.
