(VACNE) - On the afternoon of March 10, 2022, the International Workshop on the topic "Impacts of environmental pollution on biodiversity and human health" co-organized by VACNE opened, with nearly 300 domestic delegates and foreign participating

This is a live and online seminar organized by the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment (VACNE) in collaboration with the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC), Global Alliance for Health and Pollution (GAPH).

The main location in Vietnam has main bridgeheads in big cities: Hanoi - Hue -  Ho Chi Minh City and many points in all 3 regions of the country.

After opening and welcoming speeches from leaders of VACNE, JNCC and Vietnam Environment Administration, the delegates listened to nearly 20 reports on related fields in turn. Among them are the Reports “Reducing pollution through partnerships – global analysis results”; “Reducing pollution through partnerships – examine the Vietnamese perspective presented by the Joint Nature Conservation Committee (JNCC).

In addition to the reports on Vietnam's Biodiversity Overview; Management of information exploitation, national environmental database; Issues related to domestic solid waste in Vietnam and some proposals… were interested by many delegates. At this workshop, there were many other reports with practical contents such as: Assessment of harmful effects of air pollution, water pollution, agricultural and forestry production; The impact of land use changes on biodiversity and human health… is highly practical.

The content of the Global Analysis on the Impacts of Environmental Pollution on Biodiversity and the JNCC's Assessment Results in Vietnam has been of interest to many experts and has been discussed enthusiastically. Most of the comments said that this is a fairly new issue in biodiversity conservation and human health protection. Therefore, it is necessary to study more seriously to clarify the contents of the report mentioned above.

The President of VACNE expressed his delight at the enthusiastic comments of the delegates (which extended the duration of the Workshop) and hoped that the scientists would continue to contribute more profound ideas. This is the success of the Conference, he said.
