Residents in the Central Highlands province of Gia Lai have voluntarily handed over four rare animal species to authorities for release into the wild.

The Kon Ka Kinh National Park Centre for Rescue, Conservation and Biodiversity Development reported that it had coordinated with concerned agencies to release four rare wild animals back into their natural habitat.

The four animals released into the forest included two turtles, one Burmese python (Group IIB), and one Javan pangolin (Group IB). All were voluntarily handed over to authorities by residents.

The releasing was witnessed by representatives from Ayun Commune Police, Mang Yang Forest Rangers, and local authorities.
