The program attracted the participation of more than 30 volunteers of various ages, from young people nearly 30 years old to elderly individuals over 80. What they have in common is a love for physical activities and a sense of responsibility towards the living environment. They cycled together around West Lake – one of the iconic locations of the capital – and concluded their journey at the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum.
On each journey, the volunteers not only improve their health but also spread the message: protecting the Earth is a global responsibility that can start with the small actions of each individual. Using bicycles – an environmentally friendly mode of transport – instead of motorcycles and cars for short distances is seen as a practical solution to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, limit air pollution, and simultaneously promote a green and sustainable lifestyle.
Notably, the cycling parade with uniforms featuring environmental protection slogans received a lot of attention and support from a large number of people and tourists along the West Lake. Many people stopped to take photos, record videos, and share them on social media, contributing to spreading the meaningful message of the program. This enthusiastic atmosphere shows that activities for the environment always receive widespread companionship and support in the community.
The program also aims to call on the community to support projects for planting trees and cleaning the environment, contributing to improving the landscape and protecting biodiversity. With the slogan 'Ride today – Keep the planet green forever', each turn of the wheel is likened to a message of action: small yet meaningful, together creating positive changes for the living environment..
This event is not only a practical activity to celebrate National Day, but also affirms the pioneering role of the Vietnam Nature and Environment Protection Association in raising community awareness and promoting a nature-friendly lifestyle. This will be a starting point to multiply many more meaningful programs, aiming towards the goal of building a green, clean, and beautiful future for the next generations.
