17 September 2012 | 08:00:00 PM

A recycling and green consumption festival was held in the central coastal city of Da Nang on Sept. 15 in response to the campaign Clean up the World. President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Dang Ngoc Tung, Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Hugh Borrowman and representatives of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment attended the event.

A range of activities were held during the day, including a photo and painting exhibition on environment, quizzes for students and schoolchildren, contests of recycle waste products, film screenings and games to educate young people how to classify waste.

Visitors to the event received environmentally friendly bags in exchange for waste papers, nylon bags, metal and used milk cans.
