Tourism Festival "DO SON – The call of the sea " 2014 highlights 9 prominent activities

The festival will take place from April 26th to May 3rd 2014 including 9 striking activities: Hai Phong – Do Son Tourism Golf Tournament 2014, a ceremony to recognize Ngoc Xuyen Ward’s rows of Diospyros trees as a Vietnam Heritage Tree, a dragon boat racing festival, an opening ceremony of Haiphong Tourism Festival under the theme "Do Son – The Call of the Sea" in 2014, youth football league, sea fishing competition, Do Son Tourism Extended Tennis Tournament, a cycling race, etc…

To make good preparations for the festival as well as serve tourists throughout the tourism season 2014, Do Son district has paid attention to improving the quality of accommodation facilities, requested tourist agents to post up price, set up a tourism hotline, promoted the maintenance of security and order, traffic safety, environment sanitation, food hygiene and safety, etc…to best meet the demands of visitors coming to Do Son tourism area for relaxing and sightseeing.
At present, the district has 179 travel service businesses, in which there are 135 accommodation facilities with 3,474 guest rooms including one four-star hotel, one three -star hotel and 44 restaurants. Besides improving professional knowledge and skills for travel service and accommodation businesses, the district has set up plans to collect garbage, decorate lighting system, ornamental trees and embellish roads and pavements.
