Raising public awareness of environmental protection is one of MNRE’s key activities, said Tran Phong, Director of the Centre for Environmental Education and Communications under the Environment Administration at a press briefing on November 11.
The conference will serve as a forum for experts, scientists, managers and businesses both at home and abroad to exchange experiences and propose new methods for environmental research, management and protection in Vietnam in the future.
During the conference, the participants will appraise the state management on biodiversity at both grassroots and central levels as well as environmental technologies in Vietnam . They will also focus on technologies used in environmental pollution treatment, prevention and mitigation.
Within the framework of the event, there will be an exhibition on environmental achievements and several symposiums on environmental management and biodiversity.
On the occasion, MNRE will hold a ceremony to honour domestic and foreign groups who have done well in environmental protection./.
