Bac Giang's 5th Wild Incense Tree Honored as Vietnam Heritage Tree

(VACNE) - On 24/10/2023, local authorities, mass organizations and communities solemnly organized the Certificate of Recognition of the Vietnamese Heritage Tree for the more than 400-year-old Wild Perfume tree, behind Ngnghe Dong (a form of temple started in the eighteenth century) in Son Fruit 5 village, Luong Phong commune, Hiep Hoa district, Bac Giang province

This is the 3rd ancient tree of Luong Phong commune and also the 5th Wild Huong tree of Bac Giang province to be recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree (after 02 wild incense trees in Tien Luc, Tan Yen districts and 02 trees in Luong Phong commune have been recognized in recent years).

there were a large number of elderly people, representatives of 13 neighboring villages, and leaders of the Vietnam Environmental Protection Association. the heads of Luong Phong commune and the Soil and Fertilizer Research Center (MARD) are stationed in the area.
 

Speaking at the ceremony, leaders of commun Lương Phong and village Sơn Quả 5, all expressed the pride of local officials and people about this event and thanked VACNE. Luong Phong's ancient trees are recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees, affirming the beauty of the local people's tradition of protecting trees.

At the beginning of the ceremony to recognize the Vietnamese Heritage Tree, there was a lively welcome program, with a number of folk and folk dance performances performed by local amateur artists.
