Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vu Duc Thuan, Secretary of the District Party Committee of Muong La district and leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Muong La district and a large number of people from 17 villages and sub-zones recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, President of the Vietnam Association for Nature and Environment Protection attended and awarded the Certificate of Recognition of Vietnamese Heritage Trees to representatives of villages and sub-districts recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees
At the announcement ceremony, VACNE representatives announced the decision to recognize Vietnamese heritage trees for 32 ancient trees. At the same time, the Certificate of Recognition of Vietnamese Heritage Trees was awarded to representatives of 17 villages and sub-zones with recognized heritage trees.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Thu Thi Sinh, Vice Chairwoman of Muong La District People's Committee affirmed. The recognition of heritage trees contributes to the widespread spread of awareness of environmental landscape protection; propagating in the community to protect forests in general, protect ancient trees in residential areas in particular in order to preserve genetic resources, environmental ecology, contribute to the development of biodiversity, spread the awareness of forest protection, promote tourism development and towards a sustainable green economy.
At the end of the ceremony, the delegates attended the opening ceremony of the Heritage Tree stele at a number of locations with heritage trees in the district.
