Cycling Program for connecting Heritage Trees in Red River delta has departed

(VACNE) - On 29/06/2013, at Temple Hao Nam (Hanoi) took place a solemn ceremony starting "The journey cycling connected Heritage Trees in Red River Delta" by VACNE and many local units, jointly organized.

These are  Annual  Cycling enviromtmental communication activities by the Viet Nam Association for Conservation of Nature & Environment  (VACNE), and are activities towards the 25th anniversary of the VACNE and in response to Red River Delta Tourism Year and 4 years of the  Tree Heritage conservation event.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Hoang Duong Tung, Deputy Director General of Viet Nam Environment Agency (VEA) and Dr. Luu Minh Tri, Chairman of the Cultural Heritage Association of Hanoi  expressed  an initiative respectful of  VACNE in mobilizing communities in the protection of the environment, at the same time expressed admiration for  bravery action of the volunteers participating in this event. 
  
Many collectives and individuals give gifts and flowers for the team and also take photographs with the volunteers before the starting, in the scene hot weather. 

According to the schedule, the Cycling Environmental Communication Team for connecting Heritage Trees in  the Red River Delta, composed  of 25 volunteers, will pass through 25 points, 25 species of trees that have been recognized as "Vietnam Heritage Trees " in the province / city in the Red River Delta basin, with the emphasis on tourism, cultural and heritage characteristics.

In particular, in Phu Tho province, in collaboration with the Provincial Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment and the  government of Lam Thao district held a ceremony  to honors Vietnam Heritage Trees in the district (morning 3/7). In the afternoon the same day, at Việt Trì City, the Team continued participation in the Scientific Conference on the topic of caring ancient trees, at the location of 2 Tau trees over 2,000 years, that are the oldest trees among the Heritage trees have been recognized in our country.
