11 May 2021 | 07:52:00 AM

Authorities in the central province of Quang Tri have moved a rare monkey which local people have complained about to a forest.

A rare monkey was released into a natural forest in Quang Tri Province.

The yellow monkey, also known as a Rhesus Monkey, is a rare species. It was earlier found at the Vinh An Village in Cam Lo District where local residents blamed for destroying plants, catching domestic animals, and attacking people, especially children.

Forest rangers in Cam Lo District caught the monkey and monitored its health.

On May 5, the monkey was released back into the wild in good condition at Dakrong Nature Reserve in neighbouring Dakrong District.
