Ha Long City threatened by severe flooding

20 August 2020 | 07:29:00 AM

Many areas in Ha Long City have been deeply submerged in water on the morning of August 17 following heavy rains.

After being warned about the long-lasting heavy rains, many people in vulnerable areas had already moved furniture to higher places overnight. Some people stayed up all night in case of a severe flood. Many households still suffered damage from the flood.

According to the locals, if the rain continues, they will face rainfall and flooding similar to that experienced in 2015. Some people commented that the current water level is already higher than in 2015.
