(VACNE) - Recently, many members and environmental lovers have continuously called the Association Office to ask about the preparation for the 15th anniversary of the Vietnam Heritage Tree Conservation event. The Office of the Association would like to summarize the activities that have been grasped and inform everyone.
First of all, the Office of the Association has conducted a number of "thematic" meetings before Tet to discuss this, outline the main activities, combined activities and assign followers to monitor and implement. Although the force of the Association's Office is not large, it has been coordinating well with partners to carry out relatively systematic and synchronous tasks.
As a tradition, the Vietnam Heritage Tree Council continuously meets face-to-face and online, making efforts to settle registration documents, especially assigning to attend Heritage Tree Honoring Ceremonies in all parts of the country on the occasion of Tet to spring, as the Association's website has continuously posted recently.
Under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Dang Huy Huynh, Chairman of the Heritage Tree Council, the authors are working hard to complete the draft of the book Conservation of Vietnamese Heritage Trees Volume 4. It is expected that this episode will consist of 3 main parts: a summary of the event's activities during the past 15 years, a selection and publication of some of more than 400 entries for the Contest (the 2nd time) written about Heritage Trees. The last part summarizes the main activities of the Event since the publication of the Heritage Tree volume 3 (2020) until now.
According to the plan, in March 2025, before and after the celebration, localities such as Cao Bang, Phu Tho, Quang Nam, and Kien Giang will all organize to welcome the Certificate of Recognition of Heritage Trees. We are very pleased to welcome Saigon Botanical Garden Co., Ltd. to organize a scientific workshop to find a solution to "reduce the load and canopy width" for the Monkey Skull Tree (also known as the Mother-of-Pearl Tree), which has just been recognized as a Vietnamese Heritage Tree.
Preparations for the Celebration are in full swing. According to the assignment, many members are urgently drafting summary reports, presentations, and video clips. Brothers and sisters at the Nature and Environment e-Magazine and the Veterans Club, environmental communication, connecting the Heritage Tree, are actively practicing welcome musical performances. On the occasion of the event, the Chairman of the Heritage Tree Council posted an enthusiastic post on the Association's website.
The Association's media and some friends associations are expected to publish a series of articles on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the event.
It is expected that the celebration will take place on March 18. Many members, many representatives of the Heritage Tree in Hanoi and other localities are eager to attend the ceremony. Due to various reasons, the Association could not meet all the aspirations of the community, please forgive in advance.
