Covering an area of 570 ha, Yang Bay Tourist Park is attractive by its reserved natural landscape of a primeval forest and strange services.
The tourist area includes three magnificent waterfalls, namely Yang Bay, Yang Khang and Hocho. Yang Bay is the main one with 80 meters in height and 2,000 meters in length. The waterfalls sustain several small lakes below where visitors can swim and see splendidlandscape.
Yang Bay Tourist Park has been managed by Khanh Viet Corporationsince 2003. Beside preserving the nature of Yang Bay, the corporation has poured a big investment into it to build up an attractive tourist area with many original services. The tourist area now has an animal reserve, a crocodile farm, an orchid garden, a souvenir shop, a restaurant and some others.
Coming to Yang Bay Tourist Park, tourists can join in special games such as crossbow shooting, pig racing and crocodile fishing. They will surely bring visitors exciting feelings.
Tourists also have a chance to visit a colorful orchid garden with ten thousands of real orchids, a 4,500sq.m. bear farm and a crocodile farm.
Yang Bay waterfall is also famed for the "lithophone" that has been erected – iron wires fastened to the cliff that play as the water passes over it. Gia Rai residents are proud of their musical ability and are only too happy to entertain visitors. They play traditional instruments such as the chapi, t’rung, tacung flute, taleploi clarinet and the dan da (stone instrument).
After working up a hunger from the hiking and swimming, tourists can stop at Yang Bay Restaurant which was built in the traditional architecture of the highlands and serves special dishes from crocodiles and ostriches.
Yang Bay receives ten thousands of tourists a year. Now it has become a famous spot on Vietnam’s tourist map. In the time to come, the tourist area will be invested more to build a mineral and mud bath area, a high-class resort and many other new tourist products.
