Vietnam Association for the Protection of Nature and Environment was established according to the Decision No. 299 / CT dated 23 November 1988 of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers (now the Prime Minister). Since then, the Association has had six congresses in 1988, 1993, 1998, 2003, 2008 and 2013.

 

THE MAIN MISSIONS

 

1. Propagating, educating, raising awareness and disseminating knowledge about nature and environmental protection (natural environment protection) among the people, contributing to bringing the content of environmental protection into the curriculum in schools.

 

2. Mobilize people to strictly comply with the law, actively contribute efforts to environmental protection activities and build mass movement to protect the environment, strengthen management of natural resources and proactively respond to variables. climate change, fight against all violations of laws and regulations on environmental protection.

 

3. To mobilize and organize members to participate in formulating and implementing policies, laws and measures related to environmental protection; carry out activities of consultancy, criticism and social assessment for state agencies and business organizations, on issues within the area of ​​the Association when requested.

 

4. Organizing activities to raise awareness, knowledge levels and abilities of members in environmental protection work, participating in scientific research and technological development activities on environmental protection.

 

5. Protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the Association and its members.
