Tu Thuc cave

Tu Thuc cave, is also called as Bich Dao, is in Than Dau mountain, Thien Nga village, Nga Son district.

 

This cave is linked to the legend and was written in Truyen Ky Man Luc by the outhor Nguyen Du of the XVI century. At the time, Tu Thuc, an inhabitant of Tong Son, now ha Trung, Thanh Hoa province, was the head of Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province. One time when he was going on to a festival, he took of his brocade to help a girl in a mandarin to lead a peacefull life. One time, go to Than Phu estuary, Tu Thuc dropped by the muontain, he saw a cave. He was given marriage with a daughter - Giang Huong - by the cave owner. Giang Huong was also the girl who had been saved by him long before. Living together about one year in a warm, peaceful and comfortable stale though home. Understanding the situation of husband, Giang Huong prepared the cart and gave him a sealed envelope, being very sad upon saying goodbye to him.

Upon reaching home, he found that only the mountain was in its original stat, and all others had change, Tu Thuc raise question to an old man in white hairs and beards, he did know that the old man was really his grandson. What a change, he has been away so long. Tu Thuc intended to come back to the fairyland with his wife, but he did’nt have lucky chance any more…
In front of the door of Tu Thuc cave, the climbing creepers were in interlacing state, formed into hammocks. In the outside cave were numerous stalactites, and stalagmites brightened in the shape of stonehouse of silver, of rice, of salts, egg hatching dragons, and upon clapping on the cave walls, an echo was heard of various pitches.
The middle cave is nearly round, with carpet of flowers, pairs of slippers, shirts, hats, chessboard, with path leading to paradise and road to the hell The inside cave is smaller, a dent had created a temple with ancestral tablet, altar and candle. The romantic Tu Thuc cave has been visited and admired by belletrists.
