Right at the center of storm No. 4, Vinh Xuan commune (Hue) received the certificate of recognition of Vietnamese heritage trees

(VACNE) – Recently, on the day that Typhoon No. 4 landed in the Central region, the government and people of Vinh Xuan commune, Phu Vang district, Thua Thien Hue province held a ceremony to welcome the recognition of Vietnamese heritage trees for 2 trees in the commune.
The two trees that were held at the ceremony to receive the Certificate of recognition as Vietnamese Heritage Trees in Vinh Xuan commune in this period are the more than 300-year-old Thi tree with the scientific name Diospyros decandra Lour. at Cay Thi Temple, Tan Sa village and a more than 400-year-old Mù u tree with the scientific name Calophyllum inophyllum L. at Ke Vo Village Communal House. The two trees are still green and well cared for and protected by the community.
Attending and sharing joy with the community at this solemn ceremony, there were leaders of the VACNE, University of Science, Hue University, Mr. Nguyen Van De, Head of the District Party Committee's People's Mobilization Committee; Mr. Le Thai Tuan, Head of Culture and Culture Department of Phu Vang district.
Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh - President of the VACNE and Professor, Doctor Dang Huy Huynh - Vice Chairman of the VACNE, Chairman of the Heritage Tree Council directly awarded the Certificate of Recognition of Heritage Trees to Vinh Xuan commune representing Tan Sa and Ke Vo villages.
The recognition of Vietnamese heritage tree for Mù u tree and Thị tree in Vinh Xuan commune not only honors and recognizes the unique and typical values of the ecological landscape and environment, but also contributes to propagating and mobilizing people to raise their sense of responsibility in the protection and care of heritage trees, continue to implement nature conservation in association with promoting local cultural and historical values.
