The 45-minute film is the first in a series of films that document the latest climate research from around the world as reported by student journalists.

Some of the featured interviews include:

·         Dr. Paul A. Mayewski, Director of the Climate Change Institute, University of Maine, USA and his latest discoveries made from Ice core research in the polar regions;

·         Dr. William Rees, Director of the School of Community and Regional Planning, University of British Columbia, Canada and his research on our ecological footprint;

·         Gary Johnson, Professor of Energy, Ecology and Green Buildings, Seneca College, Canada and his research on how to construct and adapt buildings to a changing environment.

The film was made by the production team from Neko Harbour Entertainment who brought you The Polar Explorer (COP16) and The Antarctica Challenge: A Global Warning (COP15).

In partnership with the United Nations Environment Programme, the one-time screening at Rio+20 will take place at the UNEP Pavilion, Friday, June 15 at 13:00 to 14:00.

Filmmaker Mark Terry, Gemini Humanitarian Award winner (2011), will be present to answer questions following the screening.
