(VACNE) - On June 28, VACNE leaders in all 3 regions: North-Central-South met, in person and online, to summarize the work of the first 6 months of 2023 and identify the preparations for the Eighth Congress of the Association with great success.
According to the report, thanks to the organization, gathering forces, assigning clearly and timely supplementing flexible solutions, most of the tasks set out by the Association for the past 6 months, have been completed on schedule.
The main tasks of the Association are: Consulting, assessment and social criticism; Education and communication to raise public awareness about the environment; Scientific research… all have signs of improvement. Especially, the Heritage Tree Conservation activity (a specific activity of VACNE) is highly appreciated by the society. People's diplomacy and emulation and commendation activities have also been well maintained in recent years.
Promoting the strengths of the unit and timely meeting the requirements of social life, since the beginning of the year, many experts and leaders of VACNE have directly written articles and answered interviews of central and local radio and television stations about the pollution of craft villages, circular economy, plastic waste, biodiversity,...
Many other experts in the system of VACNE, at local associations also actively participate in the evaluation councils of EIA reports, report on application for environmental permits (GPMT) and acceptance of actual results. present scientific research topics and tasks. Most of the members of the Standing Committee, many of the Executive Committee are actively carrying out the task of environmental communication through appropriate forms.
Some scientific research topics, tasks and contracts of the Association are being implemented very smoothly and according to the plan. Specifically: contract for scientific research on domestic waste and recycling of plastic waste (with MONRE). "Research and propose recommendations for Hai Tien - Environment-friendly tourism development for the construction of a model new rural area in Hoang Hoa district, Thanh Hoa province" has been completed and transferred to the local authorities for application at the beginning of the project. year 2023.
In the first 6 months of the year, the special activity "Conservation of Vietnamese Heritage Trees" of the Association not only continued, but had many positive signals. There are nearly 100 more ancient trees in nearly 30 locations in: Cao Bang, Hai Phong, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Long An, Hoa Binh, Quang Nam, Hanoi, Ha Nam,... recognized as Vietnamese Heritage Trees and honored by localities in very diverse, rich and highly effective forms.
