It takes one hour bike from the Tourist Area, Topas Ecolodge, to Lao Cai. However, this place looks like a different world, isolated from modern life.

More than 25 small houses are made of white granite, roofed with palm leaves, fully furnished and decorated with interior in wood, bamboo, rattan and even stone, etc. which create a closeness to nature for visitors. In this area, all the houses use solar power.
This tourist area, 20km east of the Sapa town, Lao Cai Province, is perched on a hill with an area of over 5ha in Thanh Kim commune. From here, we can look out onto Muom Hoa Valley with rice terraces surounding the villages of Lao Chai, Ta Van and Ban Ho. A peaceful landscape exists among the quiet mountainous atmosphere of the beautiful National Park.
Mr. Maker Tent, along with English visitors, who has stayed here for 4 days said the resort is wonderful. In addition to the exploration of wild beauty of Sapa mountains, he could live in a nature-friendly environment. When the sun rises, the light is brought to shine all over the trees and branches. In the middle of the day, the wind is puffing lightly. When the sun sets, a thin mist covers a peaceful space.
Ms. Helen Asana, an Australian tourist in Topas Ecolodge for the second time, admitted “I enjoy seeing the sun slowly rising from the mountains at a far distance in the dawn. The surrounding space is very clear and quiet. When the sun shines, the clouds seems illuminated, which makes the valley, below the foothill, becomes vaporous. Especially, when we stay in the room, we can hear the wind blowing through the roof romantically and wildly”.
Rooms are equivalent to a three-star hotel, but almost every day 25 small houses are full of guests. Silence gives feelings of euphoria, especially closeness and friendliness with nature that help people escape from the work routine..
