This program has been held annually since 2014, in order to well implement Resolution No. 24 - NQ/TW of the Party Central Committee on proactively responding to climate change, strengthening resource management and environmental protection.

Thanks to the attention of Party and State leaders, the companionship of most ministries, departments, localities, the business community, scientists and the media, the program "For the national green environment" has brought into play good results with more and more social participation.

Despite being interrupted for a period of 3 years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, over the past ten years, hundreds of businesses, localities and individuals with excellent achievements have been awarded certificates of merit by the Vietnam Environmental Protection Association and commended by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

This year's program "For the National Green Environment" was implemented on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the establishment of the Association; At the same time, it is also one of the activities towards the VIII Congress (term 2023-2028) of the Vietnam Association for Conservation of Nature and Environment. 

The message of this year's program is: green living, green production, ecosystem protection, adaptation to climate change, creating harmonious and sustainable development. In particular, enterprises are required to comply with policies and laws on environmental protection in production, business and service activities.

Attending the press meeting, launching the program "For the national green environment in 2024" with the participation of many VACNE leaders; representatives of some units of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and a large number of press agencies. In particular, there are Miss Vietnam 2020 Do Thi Ha and Lisa Huyen My (8 years old) - who take on the title of "National Green Goodwill Ambassador 2023".  

Immediately after the launching ceremony of the program "For the national green environment in 2024", representatives of a number of businesses made speeches, expressing their views on developing production and business in a sustainable direction and signed a commitment to make practical contributions to environmental protection.

Journalist Ho Mai Chinh, Standing Committee of the Organizing Committee of the program "For the national green environment" said: on November 18 and 19, 2023, the program will organize some next activities at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, on Hoan Kiem pedestrian street (Hanoi). Namely: Green Living Gala Program; display green economy models, promote green products and services and award certificates of merit from authorities to organizations and individuals with outstanding contributions in this field./.
