Scientists of VACNE and Korea conducted field surveys to cooperate in treatment of Agent Orange / Dioxin after War in Vietnam

(VACNE) - After the workshop in Hanoi, discussing collaborative solutions for trial treatment of ground contaminated Agent Orange / Dioxin, the scientists of VACNE and Korea Biological Company BJC have came to A Luoi district (Thua Thien Hue) to survey area remaining up Agent Orange / Dioxin leave by the US after the Vietnam War.
There were 9 persons in the Survey Team, including experts on Forestry, Environment of Vietnam and the Corporation Korea Rural Community (KRC), Marine Institute, Korea Institute of Toxicology, lead by Mr. Yong seok Choi, President BJC and Mr. Phung Tu Boi, Member of Central Committee of VACNE .
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, Vice President of A Luoi district with numerous local officials friendly welcomed the Team and expressed their desire, the pilot project treatment contaminated soil will soon be implemented in the province. Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung said that the project is very essential for localities and practical for community. Therefore, A Luoi district administration will create the best conditions for the project to be implemented.
On behalf of localities people, Mr A Viết Minh, Chairman of Dong Son Commune also expressed his pleasure to welcome the scientists of Vietnam and Korea, hoping the environment and people's livelihoods are improved through this scientific and humane projects of VACNE and Biological Company BJC. /.
