Scientific Association on Wetlands Formulated

Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Sinh, VACNE president, recently signed a decision that officially established the Vietnam Wetland Association (VNWA) chaired by Ass. Prof. Dr. Le Dien Duc.
This is the first association established this year under the Governmental Decree No. 35-HDBT of March 4th, 1982 and is the 149th VACNE member association.
The new association will work to improve environmental education, consultancy, services, and scientific and technological research. VNWA activities will focus on the development of policies and strategies to rehabilitate wetland ecosystems, combate climate change, and actively contribute to poverty alleviation among coastal communities.
